The Morning Briefing: Small business matters | SmartPlanet

Back in the '90s when I was a moderator for a major national daily, I evoked the ire of an official of the SBA. (Don't remember why; probably in response to something stupid they got caught doing) In the conversation that followed, the official continually tried to sell me on why I should have been taking advantage of their services for my small business, and was befuddled by my resistance to the idea.

Sure, access to easy sources of cash would have made certain projects I was involved with much easier, and life more comfortable. But would that have been a good thing?
