Bachmann "Stands Aside" In GOP Race

Des Moines, IA (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann has announced she is stepping aside in the race for the GOP presidential nomination

The congresswoman made the announcement at a press conference in Des Moines, IA after capturing only 5 percent of the vote in the Iowa caucuses. She finished a distant sixth.

Bachmann said we must "rally around" the candidate voters select. She said she has no regrets about running and will continue to fight for what her campaign stood for.
